Abraham Jehd Dimalanta – Virtual Assistant, Dispatcher, and Customer Service
Hi, my name is Abraham Jehd Dimalanta. You may call me Jehd for short. I am a son and a breadwinner in our family. I’ve finished my 1st year of college with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the Technological Institute of the Philippines. I wouldn’t imagine myself working at home since my course is definitely not meant to be one. I never knew that working from home can be so satisfying, enjoyable, and stress-free.
I started working as a customer service representative for a BPO company. I handle calls both outbound and inbound, and I also do some email tasks. Then, for some reason, I decided to apply to the second company that I’ve been with, and I was able to grow a lot and learn new things related to the industry. It was not an easy decision for me since it is clearly a different path from what I used to do. However, I chose to be brave and decided to have a career growth in the virtual assistant industry.
It was definitely hard at first, since there are a lot of things that are new to me, and I need to always put in an extra effort to learn them so I can be knowledgeable and apply them to my work. I totally understand that my previous experiences do not align with the way that I chose, which is why I did my best to learn by finishing a course related to being the best virtual assistant. The good thing is that I am a fast learner, and I can definitely store information for a long time. I believe that me being dedicated, motivated, eager to learn, keen to details, and organised makes me a great virtual assistant.
Over the years, being capable of learning new things and understanding the culture and environment of the company is important. In order for you to succeed at one thing, you should have a friendly attitude, be career-driven, and focus. Nothing is impossible, and nothing cannot be learned when it is really your intention to be better and achieve success.
I understand that working from home is totally different from working at the office, but I definitely believe that this can make me better in a lot of ways, including my work.
I aim to make myself show the best out of me by growing with the career that I chose, learning new skills, and showcasing the knowledge that I have learned.
