Aljon Jay Ato – General Virtual Assistant, Web Developer/Designer, Accounts Administrator

Hi! I’m Aljon Jay Ato, but you can just call me Aljon. I am a third-year college student, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at St. Vincent de Ferrer College of Camarin. I transferred to an online school after a close friend encouraged me to make better use of my time by working while studying. This decision allowed me to gain real-world experience and apply what I’ve learned in my courses to actual work situations. It was hard to find an online job, knowing that I am still studying, but thanks to God, there were people who trusted me.

I previously worked at Duimtech Inc., a company based in Florida, USA, as a web developer/designer and graphic designer for six months. During this time, I improved my technical skills in website development, design, and content creation. More importantly, I developed strong organisation, time management, and communication skills—qualities that are essential for a virtual assistant.

I also worked as an Accounts Administrator at CFW Trans, where I processed accounts payable and receivable transactions, maintained accurate financial records, and prepared financial statements and reports. I also communicated with clients and vendors to resolve billing issues, successfully reducing billing errors by implementing new quality control procedures. Additionally, I streamlined the accounts payable process, cutting processing time by 20%, and assisted in the smooth transition to a new accounting software system by training staff.

As a virtual assistant, I can handle tasks such as email management, scheduling, data entry, research, and organising files. My experience in web development and design also allows me to assist with managing websites, creating graphics, and handling digital content. I am comfortable using different online tools and software, and I am always eager to learn new systems to improve my efficiency.

One of my strengths is being detail-oriented and proactive. I make sure tasks are completed accurately and on time. I can manage multiple responsibilities while staying organised and focused. Working remotely has also helped me become more self-disciplined and adaptable, allowing me to adjust to different tasks and work environments with ease.

I am excited about the opportunity to use my skills and experiences to support businesses as a virtual assistant. My goal is to provide reliable and high-quality assistance while continuously improving and learning. I believe that with my background in IT, combined with my ability to manage tasks efficiently, I can be a valuable part of any team.
