Amy Marmin – Store Office Assistant

amy-marmin-profileHi, my name is Amy Marmin. I am 28 years old and I am born and raised in Brisbane, Australia.

For the last decade I have been working as an administrative assistant for a large retail company. As such, I am experienced in email correspondence, answering phone calls, payroll, funds management and liaising between different departments. For the last two years of this time I have been the office manager and as such I also have experience in training other team members.

Academically speaking I have a Bachelor and Masters degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice as that held my interest for a long time, however my passion has turned more towards becoming a freelance writer and as such for the last couple of years I have been a regular online contributor to the Supanova Comic Con and Gaming website. This has given me the opportunity to have pieces published online and I have even had an article retweeted by WWE Australia.

Through my freelance writing experience I have written entertainment articles, product descriptions and educational pieces which shows how easily adaptable I am. In combination, my academic, professional and experiences as a freelance amy-marmin-with-petwriter means that I am well versed in multi-tasking, working to and meeting deadlines, being adaptable to suit different audiences and customer bases, and I have a very good professional phone manor.

Additionally, to give you a bit of a better idea of the type of person you would be working with should you select me, I have two dogs and a cat at home so as you can see I love animals. I’m a big fan of watching sport – especially NRL, cricket and formula one. Some of the additional life experiences that contribute to me being a reliable and conscientious employee include my professional practice experience working in the Domestic and Family Violence Unit at Queensland Police Headquarters, as well as being a member of the Griffith University G20 Scholars Program. So I am quite varied in my interests, and I believe this makes me a more well-rounded employee.

In conclusion, I am reliable, adaptable to my client’s needs, great at multi-tasking and other administrative tasks. I am an extremely hard worker and will work hard to contribute in a very real way to any client and their business needs. So please consider me as your next virtual assistant and you will not be disappointed.
