Angela Lou D. Cubol – CSR and Sales Specialist

angela-cubol-vaHi there! My name is Angela Lou Dela Cruz Cubol. My friends are fond of calling me Gel or Gela. I am a graduate of San Juan De Dios College with a degree in Bachelor of Science Nursing.

I am the eldest in the family, and a mother of three wonderful babies, Ace, Ameera and Alexa. I got pregnant with my eldest when I was still in College, 9 years ago. I needed to finish my studies and so my parents helped me in raising my baby. Though my parents did not force me, I felt like I needed to be more responsible since I am already a Mother, I decided to look for a part time job while studying to able to provide for my kid, like buying a new toy, clothes etc.

I really appreciate my parents for their efforts, especially their unconditional love for me. Despite the disappointment that I caused, they still chose to look at the brighter side and help me with everything that I needed.

It’s not easy to look for a job especially when I didn’t have any experience… at all! I applied at a fast food chain, coffee shop, malls – but was unsuccessful. But then my luck changed and I secured my first job as a call center agent. I worked as an Outbound Sales Representative and later became a Customer Support Specialist.

angela-cubol-with-familyOver the past 8 years, I have been working with various BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) companies here in the Philippines. I have been involved mostly as Customer support in different accounts.

I am now 26 years old, working in a Debt Settlement Company, where I started as in Customer/ Sales Support then after a year was promoted to Customer Support Supervisor. This role involves ensuring the agreed procedures are kept up to date and adhered to within the team: Escalation, Retention and Issue Resolution.

Because of the desire to be with my kids, I decided to look for a homebased job. While I may have limited experience as a Virtual Assistant, I am willing to work hard and learn all the things necessary for the success of my work. I am willing to grow, and I have the ability to accept and learn from criticism. I believe being corrected is a way of improving yourself.

I am looking forward to becoming a virtual assistant so that I can work from home and be with my kids. I have a lot of experiences which honed not only my skills, but also taught me to become a reliable, responsible and a respectful person.
