Anthony Marquez – Head Operations Manager, Executive Assistant

Hi, I am Anthony Marquez, and I’m from the Philippines. I graduated cum laude from Carlos Hilado Memorial State University in Bacolod, Philippines.

I grew up with a single dad and a sister in a city called Canlaon. I never had the chance to meet my mom, but my dad made sure we never felt her absence. He worked hard to provide for us and became the biggest influence in my life. As a kid, I loved watching people speak and present themselves confidently in front of an audience. I even dreamed of becoming a public speaker or a host one day. Interestingly, as I got older, I became more nervous about speaking in front of others—a reminder of how much people can change over time. However, in my early 20s, I regained my confidence and found myself able to speak in public once again, even attending symposiums and community orientations.

Aside from that, I am very fond of listening to old songs or music by artists like Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Barry White, and more from the 1960s, which is my favorite music era. My fondness for this grew because, living in a Filipino household, my father would tend to blast these old kinds of music a lot. Also, when I developed a sleeping disorder, I found comfort and relaxation in old songs, which helped ease my mind and allowed me to fall asleep more easily. I could never end a day without listening to any of these artists. I also enjoy learning about the history of the singers and the songs they perform. I’m like a young gentleman with a vintage heart.

My professional journey began in 2018 while I was still in college, as I worked to support both my studies and my family. My first job was in a digital and virtual setup, where I was responsible for training online teachers and developing training programs. I collaborated closely with my English and Chinese managers to design strategies that helped employees improve their skills and performance.

A year after graduating, I was contacted by a Korean employer to assist in building his company from the ground up. This opportunity was invaluable, as it allowed me to gain experience and skills essential for professional growth.

Since then, working from home has been a great blessing. It saved me time and effort, especially in commuting, and allowed me to spend more time taking care of my dad. As the family’s breadwinner, I truly appreciate the stability this job provides, which enables me to support my loved ones.

Living on a farm has been another source of joy. I love planting and have envisioned an ideal workspace that allows me to merge my hobbies with my career. To achieve this, I built a small office on the farm and installed all the necessary backup resources to ensure a stress-free and productive work environment. During my work break, I would go out and water and weed my plants. The best part of gardening, of course, is when it’s time to harvest.

I am committed to growing further in my career and continuously learning new skills to become the best at what I do. I am excited about the opportunities ahead and remain dedicated to pursuing excellence.
