Ashley Latagan – Administrative Assistant, Social Media Management

ashley-latagan-vaHello! I am Ashley Joy P. Latagan, but just call me Ash. I am a Journalism graduate from Bicol University.

I had ventured through various positions that have molded me into being a versatile professional who can shine. My experience started in the customer service area where I realised clear communication and teamwork are ideal to solve problems as one team member. From there, I kind of transitioned into the social media and content creation thing that really sparked my interest in digital engagement and brand storytelling.

In my initial employment roles, I deepened into social media management and content development, freelancing and full-time. My role as Social Media Assistant Volunteer in PARA Haven Shelter was also made to develop actual content strategies and graphics, video editing, and direct collaboration with influencers of social media. When I had the chance to engage in a cause that was close to me, I really experienced the power of digital media with regard to audience engagement, raising awareness, and fostering healthy online communities.

Continuing on my skill development, I learned to be attracted to positions that could enable me to work from home. I am now efficiently balancing personal and professional life while maintaining quality work and getting control over my schedule. My remote experiences taught me the skills to handle time at different levels, adaptability, and self-motivation. As for this role, I have been fortunate enough to be able to help projects that range from content planning to influencer outreach; I ensured that these would all be in line with the brand’s guidelines and goals. I’m also pretty equipped with design and video editing tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop and CapCut, which I use to give life to creative ideas in making visually appealing content that resonates with target audiences.

ashley-latagan-vaIn addition to technical skills, I am detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful. I enjoy working with a team and developing strategies that improve brand visibility and engagement. More than just accomplishing tasks, more than a job, but work—with purpose. I believe that any size project is an opportunity for learning, growth, and contribution. My work style isn’t complicated: organise, communicate openly, and give it my best shot every time.

I believe that working in a virtual team will really be a perfect match for what I am working for. Working from home gives me the chance to have a good career while staying close to my family and taking care of my responsibilities here at home. I look forward to more in the future and promise to continue growing in my career and acquiring more skills for my work and commitment to any team I may join.

My journey so far has been pretty diverse and rewarding, and I feel excited to take the next step as a virtual assistant who specialises in social media and digital engagement. I look forward to bringing my passion, commitment, and expertise into a role where I can make a difference while continuing to develop professionally and personally.
