Ayesa Rubilla – Amazon Seller Support, Virtual Assistant

I’m Ayesa, and I have been happily married for 13 years. My husband and I are blessed with four wonderful children who are the heart of everything I do. My journey to working remotely began over three years ago, driven by my desire to create a fulfilling career while being present for my family. It was a significant shift from the office setup I was accustomed to, but one that allowed me to align my personal and professional priorities.

Before transitioning to remote work, I spent nearly three years in the BPO industry, where I gained invaluable experience in customer service. My first year involved handling outbound calls, which taught me resilience and effective communication. I then spent two years as an Amazon Seller Partner Support representative, where I developed a strong understanding of e-commerce operations, problem-solving, and client relationship management. These experiences shaped my ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively, and deliver results.

While I appreciated the professional growth I experienced in an office setup, I realised I wanted a career that would allow me to be more present for my children. This decision marked the beginning of my remote work journey, which has been both challenging and rewarding. As a Virtual Assistant, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients, especially in the ESL industry, where I’ve taught English to students from China and Japan. These roles have enhanced my communication skills and ability to connect with people from different cultures.

Outside of work, my life revolves around my family. My children are my greatest source of joy and motivation, and I love being actively involved in their lives. Every weekend, we go to the beach, which is just 10 minutes away from our house, to relax and create beautiful memories. In my free time, I often do video karaoke with my kids, which is a fun way for us to bond and unwind.

Despite the joys in my life, I have fears that weigh on me. My greatest fear is wondering who will be there for my children if I’m no longer around. A close second is the uncertainty of how I would provide for my family if my husband were no longer here. These fears drive me to work hard, build a secure future, and ensure my children always feel loved and supported. They inspire me to keep striving for success, not just for myself, but for the future of my family.
