Bhaby Dhian Perez – Product Support, Virtual Assistant

For the past 11 years, I have been exposed to the customer service industry. I used to be a service crew for a year. I was also in-charged of the daily sales report and inventory. After three months of being an outstanding employee, I got promoted as a team leader in the store and supervised my colleagues daily.

I transitioned into a sales associate for GE lightings and lasted for four years. I assisted customers in deciding on buying the right light depending on their area. It was my responsibility to educate the customers about the product they are going to buy and provide them with a warranty card. Way back then, I wanted to enhance my skills to a different level. I decided to switch from sales associate to customer service support in BPO. My multi-tasking skill has been my weapon when I was in the BPO industry. I served as an order-taker for flowers via phone and email. If the flower arrangement is not available, I communicate with the customers and relayed the information to the florists and vice versa. Since the flower account was project-based, I had to look for another job which led me to become a Reservation Specialist. This is almost the same work as I did with the flower account. I managed to take calls and getting the details of the guest’s information and booking details.

As the BPO company continuously grew, the management decided to transfer me to a different account where I became a Relationship Manager for a known credit card provider in the US. Still, I took calls to answer inquiries about the statements, took their payments, claimed their earned rewards, and did balance transfers.

I felt stagnant in what I was doing, so I decided to leave the company and found new work in a software solution provider company. I worked as a Lead Generation Specialist. I looked for vacation rentals all over the world and took the needed information to an excel sheet. I am also acing as a Lead Qualification Specialist. When a prospect submitted a request for a product demo, I had to call them to check if they were eligible to have our software solutions. After a year, our Director requested me to take cases from the queue (various inquiries on how to use our products and troubleshooting). I noticed that our Knowledge Base Center is outdated. I proactively offered my help to shape it up. They let me do the ideas I have, and it’s now being published.

In July 2019, my dad passed away, and as the eldest child, I became the breadwinner of the family. I started looking for a part-time job, and fortunately, in October 2019, a Property Manager from Florida hired me as a Virtual Assistant. At first, he assigned me a basic task wherein I had to add the property data into his PMS. He then allowed me to process the integration with the other OTA’s, and since I always see the inquiries coming through OTA’s, I also answered the prospect’s inquiries. He decided to promote me as an Assistant Property Manager, and I accepted his offer open arms.

In April 2021, I discovered that I was pregnant, but unfortunately, I had an ectopic pregnancy and needed to rest for two months. My client decided to replace me, and I respected his decision.

My long-term experience in the service industry has taught me how to meet and exceed each customer’s expectations with service that sells. I have assisted all types of customers in all types of settings, and I can say that I am confident enough to be part of your growing business.
