Bryan Acerden – Graphic Designer

Bryan-Acerden-vaMy name is Bryan Carlo Acerden, a graphic designer from the Philippines. I have a passion for creating digital artworks and designs and I’ve been working in the industry for a variety of clients since 2011.

While the term graphic design covers a wide range of skills and media, my specialties are creating social media graphics, designing layouts for both print and web, photo editing, infographics, making logos for company branding, creating vector-based illustrations, and recently, creating graphics for E-commerce websites.

My love for artworks and design started at an early age as a comic book collector. In my younger years, I have aspired to become a graphic artist like the illustrators (both local and international) that I’ve always admired. As the years went on, however, my interests evolved from doing free-hand illustrations to creating visually appealing graphic designs inspired by the minimalist designs from Japanese print advertisements.

Taking up a multimedia course back in 2016 furthered my interest and knowledge in the industry. There, we were taught the principles of design, color theories, and technical skills for the tools that we currently use for our works. We were also introduced to the diverse facets of graphic design such as web designing, layout and information, interactivity design (which is now known as UX/UI), and identity design—which is a core subject dedicated to creating brand logos and manuals for companies.

Bryan-Acerden-vaAt the end of the course, we were able to conduct a public exhibit for the class that showcased each of the student’s skills and specialties. My exhibit concept was chosen to be used as the theme for this exhibit, and this experience cemented my decision to pursue my career as a graphic designer.

While the multimedia course did help lay the foundations of my design knowledge, my education in graphic design has never stopped. Having worked with a diverse number of clients from different countries since 2011, I have learned a variety of design aesthetics inspired by them. These include the color palettes used, what fonts are appropriate for the work, the kind of images that are needed, and of course, how to arrange all these design elements to represent the client’s awesome ideas into something that is visually appealing and easily understood by their audiences.

I believe that working in the graphic design industry also means that personal growth never stops. With every client, there’s always something new to learn. If you’re looking for a Graphic Designer that delivers excellent quality of work and is always willing to learn something new to benefit your company, please consider me for your remote Graphic Design Team Member.
