I started my career in year 2016 as a Customer Relations Specialist for a bank here in the Philippines, where maintaining good customer relationships and client retention was my main responsibility. After that, I became a Loans Specialist with the same bank through vertical career transition. I performed tasks such as conducting KYC (Know Your Client), ensuring completeness and accuracy of loan documents, processing loan applications, managing and monitoring loan accounts, and monthly report generation. My career as a banker had really helped me grow, both professionally and personally. I developed and learned certain skills such as interpersonal relations, communication, critical thinking, and customer service/office-related tasks.

catherine-mae-doliente-vaAfter working in the corporate banking industry, I started my first online freelancing job working as a Customer Service Representative (Chat/Email Support) for a credit card comparison site based in Australia. It was actually challenging working in a new environment and setting (from corporate to freelancing). I needed to adapt well and learn other skills that would help me in performing my tasks. But, everything was fulfilling and the new experiences I gained were worth it.

I was then hired by a Shipping Company as their Marketing Coordinator/Office Support Staff where I was responsible for conducting company visits and market services to prospect clients, preparing billing statements, liquidations, weekly/monthly reports, help managing and cater to tugboat crews’ concerns and requests, receive payments for services rendered on cash basis, ensure accuracy and safe-keeping of documents and operating funds, and other office-related functions. This marked my second corporate role.

Presently, I am a trained Virtual Professional with skills and experience in General Virtual Assistance, Social Media, Social Media Creation / Optimisation / Management, simple web creation / design / optimisation using Wix and WordPress platforms, and graphic content creation using Canva. I currently work as an Online Research and Data Entry Specialist (part-time) for an E-learning site.

The last 5 years of my career was indeed a roller coaster ride. It enabled me to grow and lead me to where I am right now. It fueled my desire to serve clients and businesses with passion, excellence, and resilience.
