Charlote Ancheta – Sales Representative

I grew up in the province of Davao del Norte, but I am living now in manila to find the best opportunity for me. After I graduated in the vocational course of Technical Drafting, I started looking for a job to support the needs of my family. I am the second among five siblings and I am eager to get hired so that I can earn more money. I was grateful when I was hired as a sales agent. It was my first job. I also became a promoter in the same company.

I was the breadwinner to my family at that time and I always anticipate the growing needs of my family. I always see to it that when an opportunity knocks on my door, I’ll be there to grab it. I have also worked in a factory and as a caregiver in Taiwan for almost four years. I do anything that I can to help my family, especially when my sisters and brother were still studying. As long as I can provide and assist their daily needs, I will grab any opportunity.

After years of working in another country, I decided to go back to the Philippines. I realized that I needed to change my way of living and experience more kinds of jobs to learn more knowledge and improve my expertise in life.

In 2017, I started to work in Manila as a Sales Representative. My main task is endorsing products. I was able to gain a whole new perspective on life and people when I was there. As a salesperson, I rendered my eight hours of work on the field, to provide good service for the company and walk an extra mile to exceed their expectations.

In my role as a Salesperson, I needed to do all my responsibilities, like inventory, make daily reports, prepare for a presentation, make market planning to get more clients, follow up with customers through their cellphone numbers and emails and also inform them for the new upcoming promotions and always have good customer service at all times. By the way, the most important part of my job was to sold out a product and convince the customers to buy so that I can reach my daily quota. I then worked for a different company but with the same role and position. That was my last job before the pandemic came, but for what it’s worth, I learned a lot not only in selling but also in communicating with customers as well.

I just want to share about my life when the pandemic came. I know that I am not the only one who had experienced the crises that we are facing now. I was able to find more ideas to earn more money because I lost my job. I challenged myself to make my own product with my own creativity. I made tea light candle holders made of cement. I make them look elegant with low cost of materials, but sold them for a higher cost. Aside from that, I have purchased some products to sell. I am also a recruiting agent for people who wants to go abroad. I did a lot of online selling and part-time jobs. All of these hard work and strategies helped me develop my skills and improve my personality.

Now I see a lot of opportunities to have a good future even though I am mostly staying at home. I’m always keeping up to do the best of my ability by doing whatever it takes to improve my skills. I’m hardworking, optimistic, a quick learner, resourceful, can do multi-tasking tasks, and give value to the new opportunities that are waiting for me.
