Claudine Ysabel N. Cayabyab – Customer Service Specialist
Hi, I’m Claudine Ysabel Cayabyab – you can call me Claude. I’m from Baguio City, Philippines.
I took up studies in Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management, but when I fell pregnant with my first child, I needed to stop.
I then started working as an English tutor online to support our needs. After two years, I decided to enter the corporate world. I applied as a Customer Service Representative and landed a position with a DVD rental company which was my first account. I lasted there for only 6 months for the business closed and I was transferred to a leading cable company account which was US-based. I was part of the pioneer wave, and after some time I was promoted to a Subject Matter Expert post.
My responsibility was not limited to just taking supervisory calls; I was also assigned to run discussions and conduct assessment for the newbies. I guess it enhanced my leadership skills and helped me to be better with multi-tasking. Since I was already taking supervisory calls, I learned different techniques to pacify irate customers and go the extra mile to resolve their issues.
To cut the story short, just a few months ago I decided to resign and take on home-based work. It will allow me to focus on my daughter because she’s growing up too fast and I don’t want to miss anything else when it comes to her life journey. And luckily, this line of business is here and available to everyone who would like to spend more time with their family but would like to still have a career.
To be honest, it was not easy at all. There are a lot of sacrifices to be made and effort to be put in so you can be fit for this kind of job. It’s hard to find a client who will trust you to be part of their team if you don’t have much experience or knowledge in their field of business. It’s a good thing that I had extensive training to know the basics, to learn how it works and to bring out the best in me as a Virtual Assistant.
I am the kind of person who is very eager to meet expectations and will go the extra mile for the satisfaction of my clients. I am willing to give my 100% time and effort to secure the success of your business if given the opportunity to be your Virtual Assistant.
