Favour Oyetunji – Executive Assistant
My name is Favour Oyetunji, and my path to becoming a Virtual Assistant has been shaped by a combination of professional experiences, personal growth, and a passion for helping others. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working as an Executive Assistant, Office Administrator, and Virtual Assistant in various industries, including business, finance, education, and non-profit organisations. These diverse roles have equipped me with a wide range of skills and knowledge, making me adaptable to different working environments and client needs.
I began my career as a school administrator, where I honed my ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain organisations, and work under pressure. During my time in education, I also developed key interpersonal skills, working closely with students, staff, and parents to ensure smooth school operations. This role taught me how to prioritise effectively, manage time efficiently, and stay focused on the bigger picture, which has been instrumental in my growth as a Virtual Assistant.
Transitioning into the business and finance sectors, I gained deeper experience in managing executive calendars, handling email correspondence, and organising meetings. I was tasked with supporting C-level executives, ensuring that their schedules were optimised, meetings were productive, and business operations ran smoothly. These experiences sharpened my administrative skills and allowed me to develop a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
What truly drew me to the virtual assistance field was my growing interest in technology and my desire to work more flexibly. I was looking for a role that allowed me to combine my administrative strengths with my adaptability and tech-savvy attitude. It was during this time that I completed a Professional Certificate in Virtual Assistance from ALX Academy, followed by certifications in Project Management and Customer Relationship Management. These courses deepened my knowledge and gave me the confidence to transition fully into the virtual assistance industry.
Throughout my career, I’ve focused on continuous learning, embracing new tools and technologies to improve my efficiency and effectiveness. I’m skilled in using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and project management software like Trello and Asana. I’ve also developed expertise in social media management and content creation, helping businesses increase their online presence and connect with their audiences.
What excites me most about being a Virtual Assistant is the opportunity to support businesses and individuals in achieving their goals. I pride myself on my organisational skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach to solving problems. My growth mindset, adaptability, and commitment to confidentiality ensure that I can contribute to my clients’ success while building strong, trustworthy relationships.
I look forward to using my skills, experience, and passion for helping others to make a meaningful impact as a Virtual Assistant for your team. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your organisation’s growth and success, and I believe my diverse experience and dedication will be a valuable addition.
