Haissam Andig – Administrative Assistant, Sales

Hi, I am Haissam Lucman Andig, you can call me Sam, 31 years of age, born and raised in Saudi Arabia. I obtained my degree in Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Mindanao State University. I’m happily married to a beautiful and loving wife and still hoping to have a child in the future. I’m currently living here in Manila. I see myself as a persistent metacognitive person who is not afraid of taking on any new challenges and work tasks. My previous Job was as a Virtual Assistant (Freelancer) connected to the world of Amazon for almost 5 years. It’s an online job, and I thought at first, that maybe I couldn’t handle the task that my client told me to do so, but as time went by, the only wisdom that runs into my mind was “The secret to success is falling in love with your work.”

My task as a Virtual Assistant is to process the orders of our customers by inputting the profile details and their addresses, segregating the profitable and non-profitable products of our company, making a schedule for my client, answering customer emails, doing small research about potential products, and lastly making payrolls for all the employee in our company.

I love my job because working from home is way different in working at the site office, I have the chance and time to be with my family because they inspire me in attaining the dreams that I have been chasing on since the beginning. I know that this work-from-home setup will be the best opportunity that I could balance my working career and to my family.

But sadly, the Covid pandemic came, and our company went through a lot of challenges that they had no choice but to shut it down. Sometimes bad things happen in our lives and lead us to the path that teaches us to be more vulnerable and stronger enough to pursue our dreams.

I have the goals and dreams in life that wherever my working career goes, I should have the purpose to extend my skills and knowledge and be able to be open to obtaining more learnings in different kinds of fields of work. Choices and decisions must be always combined in order to achieve dedication to your work ethic. Nevertheless, habitually put God first in all the things you do in your life and the rest will follow.
