Janine Kris Caballero – Customer Service Associate

Hi, I am Janine Kris Caballero, you can call me Janine, 33 years of age. I am a wife and have no child. I took up a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Cebu. In my free time, I love reading mystery and romance novels and going for long walks in nature as it helps me unwind. These hobbies help me relax, clear, and refresh my mind. I hope to one day travel around the world without any problem with money. I sometimes fear not being good enough or failing to achieve my goals, which can be discouraging. Despite this, I push myself to improve and take each challenge as an opportunity to grow.

A few years back, I would not have thought of myself as working from home, nor imagining as such. But life can throw you a curve ball and things just unfold. I never knew working from home could be so fulfilling, stress-free, and enjoyable. I started out working as a Customer Service Associate for Verizon B2B dealing with customer creating their account. I do upselling and working from home for a year. Then along came an opportunity to go onsite. It was not an easy decision since this is a new environment, full of unknown factors involved but I took the leap and chose to work back onsite after the pandemic was under control.

Surprisingly, it didn’t take long for me to be able to adapt to the new environment. I learned fast and can cross-function within the company. I can work alone or with a team. I find teaching my colleagues what I know fulfilling. Being diligent in my work, goal-oriented, keen to detail, resourceful, and equipped with different set of skills and knowledge makes me an outstanding Customer Service Associate.

However, after adjusting to a new environment and getting along with my colleagues for the 1st time face-to-face, that is the time my family encountered a difficult situation where our father had a stroke and we needed to focus more on him. My Family decided to stay in our province for a while so we could look after our father, and I came up with the decision to stay also and tried to seek help with the company I worked with and asking if it was possible to do Work at Home, luckily they understood my situation and gave a consideration about it.
