Jesamine Esther Baterna – PSR/TSR, Quality Assurance Specialist

jesamine-esther-baterna-casualHi! My name is Jesamine. Those who personally know me calls me Bunny. I was born on Easter Sunday, that’s why I was given this nick name.

I’ve worked in the BPO industry for 13 years. I started out as an agent, then after a year of taking in calls, I became a Quality Assurance Specialist. I stayed with the company for 4 years. Since I wanted to try my luck overseas, I went to Singapore. But I guess luck was not on my side because just after 3 months of working, I decided to go back home.

The pay was good, don’t get me wrong. However, it was my first time to be away from home. Aside from that, I was disoriented to an unfamiliar culture. Culture shock, that is. So I started my professional life once again back home. I applied and got hired with another BPO company.

A lot had changed by that time, I got married and became pregnant. After 2 years of serving the company, I resigned and focused on being a mother. It was tough at first. But with the help of my parents, I was able to ace the test of being a first time mother. A job opportunity from my first employer came knocking. I couldn’t say no. It was the same position I left 4 years ago. So off I went to resume my professional career. I stayed with the company for 6 more years. I amassed experiences both professional and personal that molded me into who I am today. I gained more skills professionally. After the birth of my 3rd child, I was confronted again with the decision of either to continue working or be a stay at home mother. I chose the latter.

Never in my wildest dream would I have imagined that being at home to take care of my 3 kids alone (my husband is a seafarer, btw) would be the toughest job ever! It’s true what they say that raising kids is like a walk in the park… Jurassic Park! Since I wanted to retain my sanity, I hired a nanny to assist me with the household chores while I take care of my kids.

As days went by, my chores became routinary since I was able to strategise my daily routine. I now have more time for myself to do what I want to do. Thus, jesamine-esther-baterna-bondingworking online entered into the picture. I don’t have any online experience yet. However, I equipped myself with the knowledge on how it goes. With my 13 years of experience, I have mastered the skills on how to be professional, on how to deal with different scenarios at work and how to respond to each tasks. The tasks of being a Virtual Assistant can be taught along the way. What is important is your attitude towards a task/job.

With that being said, I look forward to working with you. I will be very willing to share and impart my talents and skills.

Thank you.
