Jhon Rex Francisco – Senior Process Executive, Customer Service Representative

Hi there, I’m Jhon Rex Francisco, you can call me Rexy. Yes, I am a Filipino transgender. I am 29 years old and living in Cebu City province. There are 5 siblings in our family and I am the fourth one. I am trying my best now to look for a job that will allow me to work from home so I can help my sister in supporting our family’s financial needs and I would like to work remotely so that I can stay with my family, especially my parents. I am a family-oriented person. I value family so much and staying and seeing them while I am working will surely make me even more motivated. My parents are no longer getting any younger that is why now as much as possible I would like to stay with them even if I am working because I’ve been away from them for a couple of years before because of my previous work.

I started working when I was 23 years old and all of my job experience is from the call center industry. I would say that my work really benefits both my professional and personal life. I was raised in an environment where it was said that fluency in English is the most important requirement if you would like to work in a call centre company. I wasn’t very confident in myself when I made the decision to go for work in this field because I thought that at the time I wasn’t very good at speaking English; all I wanted was to give it a shot. Fortunately, though, after applying to over ten companies and being rejected, I was employed by Teleperformance, my first employer. One thing I have learned on this journey is that, speaking English fluently is not the only factor. It all comes down to how sincerely and confidently you respond to any questions that are given to you.

Working in this field for many years has taught me how to communicate with people of all backgrounds and personalities. I have found that being understanding and patient with all the people you are supporting can give satisfaction not only to the clients but also to yourself.

As an individual that has the ability to learn things quickly, I am a person that is always willing to learn new things and share knowledge as well.

My goal now is to grow further with my career together with your company, and learn more skills and knowledge and to be a better individual.
