The Social Media Manager & Video Editor is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing content across all social media platforms to strengthen brand presence, drive engagement, and support overall marketing goals. This role requires a strong blend of creativity, technical skill, and strategic thinking, with the ability to stay ahead of trends and produce content that resonates with target audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Management

  • Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy aligned with brand and marketing objectives.
  • Stay updated with current trends, platform updates, and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and competitive.
  • Create and manage a content calendar for client review and approval.
  • Monitor analytics to understand what works, what doesn’t, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Engage with audiences through comments, messages, and community-building activities.

Content Creation & Graphic Design

  • Create visually compelling social media posts, graphics, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Collaborate with the client to brainstorm content ideas and campaign concepts.

Video Editing & Production

  • Edit short-form and long-form videos for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Use tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar applications to produce high-quality video content.
  • Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form assets optimized for each platform.
  • Add captions, transitions, effects, and other enhancements to improve viewer retention.

Marketing & Performance Optimization

  • Understand marketing principles and apply them to content creation and distribution.
  • Analyze performance metrics and provide insights to improve reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Identify opportunities for growth through new content formats, collaborations, or platform features.

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work closely with the client to align on goals, messaging, and brand direction.
  • Proactively suggest ideas, improvements, and new content opportunities.
  • Maintain organized files, assets, and project timelines to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media management and video editing.
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and audience behavior.
  • Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar editing tools.
  • Ability to create engaging graphics and visual content.
