John Rhemaulene Lañada – Flight Support Agent, Customer Service
Hi, I am John Rhemaulene M. Lañada; you can call me John or Jhayar. I am the eldest of three siblings. I studied at STI Ortigas Cainta from 2015 up to 2021. I was a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and Restaurant Management student. I would not have thought of myself working from home since most of the companies today are requiring their employees to report on-site. But with this opportunity, I am thrilled to experience a less stress and fulfilling experience.
I started out working as a customer service representative on a well-known company at Ortigas under a telecommunications account. Then along came an opportunity for me to work at one of the most known travel agencies, since then I committed myself on continuous growing and learning on how to understand and maintain a good quality customer service.
Surprisingly, it did not take too long to learn and understand on how travel agency support works. It is easy to navigate and to adapt to certain scenarios. Within a span of one year and a half I am already managing three different Global Distribution Systems depending on what was used to make the flight of the passenger. Under different circumstances, different reservations call for different attention and understanding. And found it challenging since there are no same scenario for the past years. Being keen to details and equipped with different set of skills and knowledge and outstanding mentor I became one of the best agents.
Over the span of time, I am working with them I understood and adapt to the culture of different people. And even though we are trained on the same tools and equipped with the same skills, it is also important for an employee to have a good attitude and behaviour. Being consistent is not an easy feat, but it will help an employee to grow along with the company. No problem will be too challenging as long communication and comprehension is always present, Being open to your supervisors and listening to your associates play a huge role on development of both associate and company.
With this, I am thrilled to join the team of Virtual Assistants for travel agency. I am excited to learn to new things and learn different skills that will help me grow not only as an associate but also a colleague. I hope this will find you well and I am looking forward to working with you.
