Jojit Yugto-Portillano – Accounting

To God be the glory!

I am Jojit Yugto-Portillano. Head of the family for almost a decade now, after my my partner got sick and my mother had breast cancer. Unfortunately, no one could help us for our daily expenses. Still, I did all my best to support our finances and to not lose hope. Despite all the obstacles, I believe God is always there for me through other people, making them His instruments. Because of that, I had courage and inspiration to keep moving forward and continue to be positive in life.

I am offering my knowledge, credibility and expertise with my assurance to be your Virtual Assistant as a Bookkeeper Specialist.

To know more about my attainment, attitude towards my job and experience, here are a few facts about me.

My educational attainment: I completed my education with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of the Immaculate Conception, one of the prestigious Universities in Davao City, Philippines. I am also a graduate of a computer course from Interface Computer Learning Center.

My attitude towards my job: I can easily adapt to a new system. If the task is given to me, I can thoroughly study and learn with minimal supervision. I am focused and always give my best effort in everything I do. If I receive any criticisms, I take it as a challenge because as I know nobody’s perfect. But with my positive personality, I take it as an opportunity to improve. I ask questions if there are some unsure issues and raise my ideas for possible problem solutions in order to lighten the work, and so that I can benefit the company that I am working with.

My work experience: Previously, I handled books of accounts, payables/receivables, cash flows, posting/data entry, payroll, reconciliation of accounts and other related accounting process/work. After that, I worked as an internal bank auditor of the company. My job description involved examining the systems of the company, analysing and checking for any possible discrepancy and possible fraud within the company and making sure that the rules and regulations of the company are being implemented and followed.

I love to learn new things and accept challenges. I believe that there is always room for improvement and learnings for all, especially for a newbie like me. I also value confidentiality, sincerity and integrity.
