Jullian Kyle Maglalang – Customer Service Representative
Hi there! My name is Jullian Kyle H. Maglalang, but you can call me Kyle. I am 25 years old. I started my professional career back in 2019 as a Customer Service Representative/E-Commerce Specialist at a reputable BPO Company. It may seem that I started working early, and you are correct. I did not get the chance to go to College and only graduated Senior High School due to lack of funds. This was a very challenging time for me back then, and I felt depressed. A couple of months after that, I realized that I had to man up and show up for my family. I wanted to provide. So instead of sulking and contemplating on how to change my situation, I took the initiative and applied for a job at a BPO Company. I was interviewed along with 19 candidates who were all experienced in the industry, and some were fresh college graduates. I was very nervous back then, especially for a kid without an inch of experience with the BPO Industry. I was not tech-savvy, I did not know how to operate a computer or a laptop. But I didn’t let that stop me from trying. Fast forward, I caught a break! Out of 19 candidates, only two were hired. One was an experienced BPO employee, and the other one was me! I was hired for an E-Commerce account that was supposedly the hardest account that the company had. We assisted online store owners with minimal tweaks to their store’s design and we also helped them with any technical issues that they encountered. I was so thankful that I was given that opportunity and I showed that appreciation. I became
the Top Trainee of our whole class and when I got regularized, I became the Top Agent for 4 months in a row. I was on my way to becoming a Team Leader but unfortunately, office politics got in the way. So, I decided to move on.
I applied for a new job at a different BPO Company. I was an agent at first doing back-office work such as data entry. After a year, I got promoted as an Assistant to the Office Manager. I had the chance to work with foreigners, and this is where I truly honed my communication skills. I helped manage 80-100 people under our supervision and also became the point of contact for other Senior Managers. I created daily, weekly, and monthly reports for my Manager and Director. Everything was going great until one day, our company decided to shut down its operations. So yes, I am currently unemployed and this has been the lowest point of my professional career. I’ve been applying for jobs since last December and I can’t seem to catch a break. So now here I am, hoping and praying that I get the chance to work at your company. If you do decide to take a chance on me, I will not disappoint. I am here to stay, and I will give my very best to add value to your company.
