Lynene Reihana – Executive Assistance

Hi, my name is Lynene. I’m a family-focused person with a friendly nature and a curiosity for life. I am a versatile professional and a passionate lifelong learner who recently partook in a freelance writing and business development course. I committed fully, bringing integrity and an open mind to my studies, something I believe to be important in every endeavour. These are some of the key strengths in my approach to my work.

Over the course of my career, I have held successful positions in office administration and customer service. Recently, I worked as a procurement and travel specialist for a non-profit organisation for over 14 years. This position taught me so much about the not-for-profit sector and the crucial role they play in supporting families in the community. I learned to be flexible and adaptable to grow in any given position as the organisation itself expands; I shaped the role to what it is today, which is something I take pride in. It also taught me about teamwork, as I performed a wide range of general administration tasks daily to support our small and close group, who valued peer collaboration. I learned that cultivating strong professional relationships and maintaining them over time is crucial for success and longevity. I believe these lessons are universal, and my skill set is highly transferrable.

This role was a hybrid position, and I worked partially from the office and partially from home. I’m social and friendly by nature, so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed working remotely and how I thrived in that environment. I operate at my peak when I’m free of distraction. In 2020, during state COVID-19 lockdowns, I worked remotely 100% of the time for many consecutive months. I excelled in my work in a really difficult period, and it was at this time I realised I was meant to work this way. My home office is private, quiet, and well-appointed, with an ergonomic setup.

Since this time, I have been reflecting on my work history and analysing what I want for the future of my career. I am proud of the knowledge I’ve gained and the dedication I’ve displayed within my past work; however, I’m looking for a fresh new opportunity to learn and grow. Being a dedicated virtual assistant would bring me opportunity and fulfilment. In turn, what I would bring is consistency, a positive can-do attitude, and reliability and accountability in all I do.
