Marimhell Mesina – Data Entry Specialist

Hi, I am Marimhell Mesina; you can call me Em. I am a single mother of 3. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science, majoring in Entrepreneurship, at the Rizal Technological University.

A few years back, I would not have thought of myself as a working mom, nor imagined it as such. My first job was in BPO as a key entry operator in freight processing outsourcing solutions. I am doing a commercial invoice input with all the data in our system, the WFMS, and our client is UPS, based in the US. All the information in the invoice needs to be put in our system, like the shipper and consignee. The number of packages and also the description.

When I got pregnant with my 3rd baby, I resigned after I gave birth and applied to Offshore Business Processing as a Data Entry Specialist. This is my current work at a BPO also. I’ve spent almost 2 years and 1 month in this company. I do email management or customer service. This is an AU client. My project here is in AGS World Transport. I do the task of CS, where the clients email us to know the shipping rates or quotation of AGS sea shipping or air shipping. I also do export bookings where the client books with us. They are booking cargo from AU and different countries. The process here is they know the schedule of the vessel and know the rates. After that request, book the shipment and complete the VGM/shipping instruction, handle the bill of lading, track the shipment, and close the booking. I am also doing the supply chain invoice air from Fremantle, where we equal the amount of the handling fee and screening fee; after that, we post that.

Almost 5 years of working in BPO, I have expertise in communication skills, time management, and flexibility. I want to work part-time because my salary is not enough to provide for the needs of my family. I rented the house, and 2 of my children are currently studying, and she is in need of formula milk because she is 2 years old. I got pregnant with my firstborn when I was 17 years old; that’s why, at an early age, I needed to work. But while I am pregnant, I am also in school. I want to apply as a VA to enhance my knowledge and skills. Also, if it is good for me, I will do this full-time and make more time for my children. I am looking to become a virtual assistant in your company. I am willing to train and learn. Willing to work in your company.
