“While I breathe, I hope”

Hi! I’m Mariz, an Administrative Assistant who specialises in providing both admin support and adhoc tasks to small businesses, so they can focus on their core business and attend to their more pressing matters.

I started working as a part-time Virtual Assistant back in 2015 to support my studies. With hard work, I graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. It was the beginning of a tougher journey as my father suddenly retired from work, so I became the breadwinner of the family in an instant.

The role wasn’t easy. I had to look for high paying jobs in order to support my parents’ medication as both of them are senior citizens already. Regardless of how hard it was, I still took time to do my passion – doing charity works. I joined an organisation helping the homeless, elders, and children from shelters. This is my way of feeding the fire in my soul and inspired me to continue improving on being a better person.

I have experienced working with both US and Australian clients in the fields of entertainment, social housing, pet company, and booking platform. In 4 years of working, I was able to be proficient in data entry and transcribing, web research, customer service, Wix website building, MS Office tools, Google Apps, Photoshop, Canva, files and email management, social media posting, and basic recruitment process.

mariz-rovillos-profileWhat my clients liked the most about me is aside from being their professional VA, I can also be their friend. They can talk to me about anything which in return, made them feel more comfortable working with me and starting their days in a lighter mood.

This 2020, I have decided to invest in my career as I want to work as a full time VA. I want to stay at home to spend more time with my family and prevent getting sick again because of the stress from commuting to office work 4 hours a day. I want to maximise my time to be as productive as possible.

To date, I started taking online courses about WordPress and SEO so that I can be more helpful to clients in the long run.

Life hasn’t always been good to me. In spite of this, I take inspiration from the clients I’ve worked with and as long as I breathe, I’ll take hope that I’ll be successful like them one day.

I am excited to embark on this next chapter in my journey and I look forward to helping more clients in achieving their goals!
