Reymart Lapiz – Workforce Reports Analyst, Customer Service Representative
Hello, I am Reymart Lapiz, my colleagues often call me Marty. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Mindanao, particularly in Davao City, Philippines. I finished my tertiary education at the University of Mindanao with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Financial Management. I first honed my professional career as an Associate Planner in a manufacturing company in Laguna, where I first experienced being away from my family. That was the time that I was able to learn new things and taught myself about the harsh waves of life.
I went into different companies searching for valuable career growth during the peak years of establishing and cementing my legacy in a certain industry. It never reached my mind that I would be applying to any business process outsourcing job given my track record in retail sales and operations, until such time that I was cornered into battling between career and financial matters since I have my very first child coming.
Until I needed to make one of the hardest decisions of my life to leave my sales and operations career path to pave my way into my BPO journey. It was tough, given that I needed to adjust from working on a regular day job to being awake the whole night, jeez so many cups of coffee were murdered just to keep my eyes from shutting down. But at the same time, I was able to develop my communication skills, ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and work as a good team player with wave-mates that has different aptitudes since we came from different genres in life.
Later that year, I got the opportunity to grow in my field and became an analyst, assisting directly the account concerning performance, call metrics, creating reports that show end-of-day outputs, scheduling agents versus capacity, and volume trends. Became more proficient in my work ethic, enhanced my problem-solving skills, and read and defined analysis thoroughly.
Until the pandemic came, everyone was working at home, which enabled me to balance my life and my relationship with my family, wherein my ultimate motivation to strive harder, through this, I am more happy and contented with what life is offering me.
For my future endeavours, my goal is to progress in my work so that I can better myself and use those skills and knowledge in my personal and professional lives.
