Sebastian Franco – Sketch Artist, Graphic Designer, and Tattoo Artist
Hello, and good day! I’m Sebastian Franco, a Filipino currently living here in the Philippines. I am happily married and have a lively five-year-old son. My wife and I have been together for three wonderful years, supporting each other through our personal and professional journeys.
I began my career in graphic design in 2018. Initially, I started as an assistant, a junior artist, with no formal background in the field. Driven by my passion for creativity, I took the initiative to teach myself graphic design through online courses and tutorials. In 2019, I was fortunate to be hired as a graphic artist at a sublimation printing company, where I was employed as a junior graphic artist.
During my time there, I quickly learned how to properly use design tools, primarily focusing on Adobe Creative Suite applications like Photoshop and Illustrator. With each project, I enhanced my design skills and learned to use various tools effectively, adapting to the tasks assigned to me and seeking feedback to improve my work continually.
From 2018 to 2021, I dedicated myself to the sublimation printing company. When the pandemic hit and COVID-19 changed the way we worked, I made the difficult decision to transition to working from home. I started searching online for job opportunities that matched my skills and aspirations. In 2022, I applied as a senior graphic artist at a company in Amsterdam that specialised in glass printing with design. Unfortunately, that company closed down later that year, but I did not lose hope. I found other opportunities online as an illustrator and graphic artist, working mostly for clients based in Europe.
That same year, I actively pursued full-time roles again and found a position with a company in Denmark that focuses on creating websites, leads, and more. I became the head artist there, responsible for designing every website for the company’s clients. In addition, we occasionally collaborated on children’s books, including storybooks, fairy tales, and colouring books, which allowed me to channel my creativity into exciting projects.
Currently, I continue to work as a freelancer, taking on various roles as an artist and illustrator, while also exploring different activities to generate income. I venture into digital platforms and create traditional art and tattoos, ensuring I maintain a steady flow of income.
This is why I am eager to explore becoming a virtual assistant—to see if I can join your team and learn new skills that will enrich my capabilities for the future. Thank you very much for this opportunity, and I hope to be a valuable part of your team. Thank you!
