Shean Marie R. Castro – Paralegal and Executive Assistant
I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science Major in Diplomatic Studies and a Master of Juris Doctor (Bachelor of Laws). I am a Paralegal by profession but I am mostly engaged in different scopes of work like Virtual Assistant tasks including Data Research, Product Listing, Appointment Setting, Copy writing, and Trainer to new members under my previous client from Amazon Seller Central. I am a Product Specific Trainer, Human Resources Generalist and Specialist and HR Business Partner. I also teach ESL to Korean, Japanese and Chinese students too.
I am the only daughter of my parents, the middle child, so I have 2 brothers. I grew up in a family where there is overflowing love, care, support and never ending understanding. My parents are my best friends. Growing up in a male dominated environment wasn’t that easy, I needed to make sure that I asked permission and let my parents know my whereabouts… but despite that, I have always felt secure.
HR Generalist was my first job in the Department of Tourism and I was employed there for more than 2 years. Since I wanted to explore my luck in greener pastures, I resigned and transferred to Philippine Airlines as HR Specialist. While working I entered Law School because that was one of my dream professions.
As I could not be on time to attend classes on weekdays due to work schedules, I decided to resign from Philippine Airlines. For a month I didn’t have a job, so I decided to try applying in the BPO industry.
I started my work in BPO in 2013 as a part of an HR Team. Then I transferred to the Training Team as a probationary assistant Trainer. As months passed by I was able to handle my own training class under T-Mobile General care account in EGS (now Alorica Philippines), up to 2015.
I started working as a General VA in 2015, and I found it challenging and interesting at the same time. Working for such brilliant clients was one for the books! I learned a lot from them especially performing multi tasking jobs, the use of Asana, Slack, etc.
I became a Paralegal Associate in 2017 while at JIZ Law Firm. Then worked as a Human Resource Business Partner in Hinduja Global Services where I handled both Recruitment, Legal and Labor Department.
I resigned from Hinduja Global Solutions last February 2019, and what keeps me busy right now is my freelance job as a Paralegal and HR Recruitment part time.
