Sushmita Granada – Administrative Assistant, Social Media Manager

sushmita-granada-vaI am a graduate of Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in International Studies at Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan. When I graduated, I really wanted to be independent so I went out of my comfort zone and started working in Cebu as a call center agent. I have been working in the BPO industry for over a year now where I take calls from customers who have troubles with their internet connection. This experience molded me to become good at taking calls. It wasn’t an easy job yet it gives me true respect for all call center agents.

Now, I moved into one of the beautiful islands in the Philippines to start anew and that’s where my Virtual Assistant journey began. I started searching and applying for jobs online and finally found one and became a Real Estate Virtual Assistant. I can say, I love what I’m doing since I am working from home and it motivates me to do better in my job. I am responsible for taking calls to homeowners that want to sell their homes and managing the CRM. I have multiple tasks as well, such as doing a lot of administrative tasks, doing reports weekly to my client, and email management. I develop my skills in time management, problem-solving skills, good communication skills, and many more.

I am only living independently and living on my own so whenever I have free time what I do is enjoy the beach with friends since I only live 3 minutes away from the beach. I also go surfing on a sunny day and walk with my dog. I know I am far beyond blessed to live on this beautiful island.

sushmita-granada-vaWhile working as a Virtual Assistant, I began to appreciate the importance of working efficiently and productively. It is not easy but it is doable. I know how to manage time especially when it’s work and self time. It is also my decision to work from home since that is the best way to have income these days since there is a pandemic.
I am a person who is flexible and adaptable to change, willing to be trained, and wants to learn a lot of things since we never stop learning when growing up. I am responsible for everything that I do and I am patient, too.

So my skills, which I’ve always had, were building a good rapport with customers and interacting well with people over the phone. I really don’t have any problem talking about it because I’m comfortable doing it. So, if someone were to ask me what makes me unique from others, I think I would say that one of my strengths is I love what I’m doing and for that, I know my purpose well and I’m very competitive enough to excel for this role.
