I’m Sweet, a dedicated professional with a strong background in accounting, payroll, and business operations. I graduated with Dean’s List honors from Cebu Institute of Technology – University, earning a degree in BSBA – Management Accounting. I later pursued my Master’s at the University of San Carlos, maintaining an impressive GPA of 1.3 (92%), with only my thesis left to complete. Despite personal reasons preventing me from finishing, my academic journey has given me a strong foundation in financial management, problem-solving, and leadership.
My career began eight years ago as a Department Head at Robinsons Inc., one of the largest department store chains in the country. Leading a team of over 100 employees and overseeing store operations with 500+ personnel, I developed skills in team management, training, and operations oversight. Beyond managing my own team, I often stepped in to support other departments when needed. This role sharpened my ability to adapt quickly, lead effectively, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Seeking new challenges, I transitioned to Sykes Inc., a leading BPO company, where I worked with Frontier Communications, a US-based telecommunications company. My role combined sales, customer service, and payment processing, where I engaged with customers across Florida, Texas, California, and other states. I consistently ranked in the top 10% of employees, excelling in sales performance, customer feedback, and adherence to company standards. This experience honed my ability to provide exceptional service and drive business growth.
I later joined My Scribe Medical, Inc., where I served as a remote accounting officer for a US-based client managing healthcare and rental businesses. My responsibilities included accounts payable, tax processing, bank reconciliation, and payroll management. Additionally, I handled medical document filing, which exposed me to healthcare operations and broadened my expertise. This role strengthened my ability to multi-task, manage confidential data, and work directly with business owners in a fast-paced environment.
For over two years, I worked at Supporting Enterprises, an Australian firm specializing in payroll and HR outsourcing. Here, I managed bi-weekly payroll processing, contractor onboarding, and government benefit setups. I also conducted work visa verification for contractors in Australia. My expertise in cloud-based payroll systems and compliance management allowed me to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Most recently, I worked as a Payroll Specialist for a real estate company in Texas, ensuring accurate commission payments for agents and executives. The complexity of commission structures and report consolidation required strong analytical skills and attention to detail, which I developed and refined over time.
