Yochiko Joan Dulatre – Employee Engagement Supervisor,
Program Engagement Leader, CSR

Hi, I’m Yochiko Joan, but most people just call me Yoh. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been passionate about painting. I picked up a brush for the first time when I was seven, and from that moment, I dreamed of becoming a full-time artist. I’ve always believed that art can make a big impact—not just on me but on the people around me.

I pursued Fine Arts, majoring in Advertising Arts, in college. However, life had other plans. Due to personal challenges, I couldn’t finish my studies. At the time, it felt like my path had been completely thrown off course. But fate has a funny way of redirecting us to places we never expected.

In 2015, I found myself stepping into the BPO industry as a Customer Service Representative for an Australian e-commerce company. What started as just a job quickly became a journey of growth and discovery. Over the years, I had the privilege of taking on roles that allowed me to lead, create, and connect with people—moving from a Team Lead position to Program Engagement Leader, and now, Employee Engagement Supervisor.

In my current role, I work closely with engagement leaders to plan and execute activities, initiatives, and events designed to boost employee morale. It’s incredibly fulfilling to witness the positive energy and connection these efforts bring to the workplace. But what’s even more special is how this job reignited my creative spark.

Being in a role that involves thinking outside the box, collaborating with people, and creating meaningful experiences reminded me of my love for art. It’s funny how things come full circle. What started as a career shift away from my artistic dreams actually brought me back to my creative roots—but in a new and unexpected way.

After 9 years and 5 months in the BPO industry, I’ve learned so much about leadership, communication, and the importance of fostering a vibrant work culture where people feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Now, I’m ready to take another leap by stepping out of my comfort zone and exploring the world of freelancing.

Life may not always go as planned, but I’ve learned that every twist and turn brings opportunities for growth, creativity, and meaningful connections. And I can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes me.
