Alvin Bangayan – Website Developer

Hi there! I’m Alvin G. Bangayan – “Akong” for short, born and raised in Davao City.

I’m the youngest in our family with a family of three… “wait what does that mean?” Yeah you heard it right, I’m an illegitimate child. My 4 brothers are all successful Chinese businessmen in our city. At a young age, I tried to compete with them. I was a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. I started my Advertising Business at a young age with no starting funds – just pure sheer courage, which I was confident would grow. A year with my business I had some luck and it grew and I earned. But just like any business, running it isn’t just about courage and luck. You need knowledge of accounting, taxes, business administration and so much more, so with trying implement all of these, I hit rock bottom.

Before my business, my true passion was computers. I see myself as an innovator – just like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, leading people to innovation. My love and passion for computers began when I was young. I first discovered my passion when I received an award for animation using Macintosh Application in 1998.

Moving forward I started learning Programming “Reverse Engineering” in late 2004, learning how to sniff and decrypt packets, and successfully created my first emulator on Online Games using C++. Within the same year while learning I was working in my brothers’ company and was learning networking and network security. Then around 2013 I was hired and created an Application for our City using Vb.net for the Desktop Application and PHP with AJAX for the Website.

After the contract ended I had heard about online jobs in late 2014 and with luck, I got my first client from England. My task was to create an E-Commerce Store. After this client I tried looking for more clients but with no luck, using various remote employment platforms. So I decided to go back to the business of selling computers, medical supplies, and advertising. I had no funds but built good connections with suppliers. I also worked as a Part-Time Virtual Assistant in Real Estate Companies and E-Commerce. My Skills in designing and creatives was put to good use. I created photos/videos for their properties and products.

Through my life experience, I have gained many skills and developed a good personality. The skills that I’m proud of are Programming, Designing and I have gained knowledge as a Virtual Assistant for Social Media Management and Ads. I’ve become an easy-going person who loves to explore new things, and I’m not the type of person who gives up if things become challenging.
