Don Dungo – Customer Service Representative

don-dungo-vaDon Sherwin Dungo, the name given by my parents and out of curiosity, I simply asked “why?” Financially, I believe there’s nothing much more to inherit!

I was born and raised in the culinary capital of the Philippines, Angeles City, Pampanga. Growing up with a family that loves to cook surely makes your journey on the dinner table always delectable. There’s no wasted time with the family’s wonderful stories and stuffed tummy. Food was, and will always, be great.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Management. I may not have finished college with honours, but proud enough to have become the University Publication’s Editor in Chief. The experiences as a news writer and an editor may have been very tedious, but the rewards of delivering the news and the articles to the students was worth it.

From there, I have managed to explore and enhanced my skills in the BPO industry. The skills that I have developed included Sales, Customer Service, Managerial, Coaching and Leadership. My oral and written communication skills progressed as soon I knew I was giving what the client wanted and receives it with the highest satisfaction.

Compassion, Knowledge, Sincerity and Respect are the key ingredients to always create a win-win situation.

don-dungo-funFrom what I have earned from work, I usually invest it to travelling. For me travelling is a worthy investment. Going to different local places and other countries will make you understand the world we live in. We get a better understanding of their culture, their traditions, way of life and of course food.

I have been to Canada, Germany, Italy, Austria, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan – and all the experiences I had were terrific, fantastic and of course, breath-taking.

Right now, I am managing my own business and I serve Mongolian Barbecue. As of this writing, I am slowly gaining a fan base and this is very special to me because I am close to officially considering myself as an “Uncertified Chef”. I am from the Culinary Capital of the Philippines and this talent should be innate and so far I can say the business is doing great. I have been running it for more than a year now.

Lastly, I would love to share that I am a COVID-19 survivor. The virus is real, but all we have to do is strengthen our immune system to fight this and not dwell on anxiety, because it would not help. I survived because of having enough sleep despite the headaches, consuming enough food despite being tasteless and always having enough courage with the help of the family and the Lord almighty to win the battle.

Now, this is just a brief story of myself. There is more of me to know, because I do not get tired of exploring more of myself. I may not have enough money to be literally called a “Don”, but I am rich enough with experiences in life to say, I am Don Sherwin Dungo, having Fun!

I am soon going to be a father and will have more of me to explore. Thank you!
