We are seeking an experienced AU Bookkeeper with hands-on experience using Cin7 (formerly DEAR Inventory) and Xero to support our day-to-day accounting and inventory operations.

The successful candidate must have previous Australian bookkeeping experience and a solid understanding of Australian GST requirements. Experience working with inventory-based businesses and e-commerce platforms is highly regarded but not essential.

This role is best suited to someone who is detail-oriented, highly organised, and capable of managing bookkeeping tasks independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for Australian business operations
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and payment records
  • Process invoices, bills, purchase orders, and credit notes
  • Prepare month-end reconciliations and assist with financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate financial records in Xero

GST & Compliance

  • Apply Australian GST correctly across financial transactions
  • Prepare and reconcile GST-related records
  • Ensure bookkeeping records comply with Australian accounting practices
  • Assist in preparing data for BAS reporting (if applicable)

Cin7 & Inventory

  • Manage inventory transactions in Cin7
  • Reconcile inventory records between Cin7 and Xero
  • Monitor stock adjustments and purchase orders
  • Investigate discrepancies between inventory and accounting records
  • Maintain accurate inventory costing and product records

Financial Accuracy

  • Ensure accurate data flow between Cin7 and Xero
  • Resolve reconciliation issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate financial and inventory records
  • Recommend process improvements where appropriate

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven Australian bookkeeping experience
  • Strong understanding of Australian GST
  • Hands-on experience using Xero
  • Hands-on experience using Cin7 (formerly DEAR Inventory)
  • Experience with bank reconciliations
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently
