Alwayne Garcia – Customer Service Representative

Hi, I’m Alwayne Garcia. 23 years of age, and I am the only child in the family. I was raised in a chaotic environment full of crimes. I’m just a simple man manifesting a calm environment and good fortune for the future, but it didn’t happen at all. I was moved to our province for the change and continued my studies in high school, but it was not easy at all. I had a lot of decisions that put me in danger when I was being rebellious that time when my mother and my stepfather separated. I didn’t have any motivation that time to go to school, so I cut classes, but I still passed the semester. And I reached 12th grade in senior high, and I told myself I could not be able to make my own future after I graduated from senior high school. I’ve never been in college due to lack of finances, so I tried many gigs to make money: farm, construction, waiter, etc. But I just realise that I could not make a lot of money if I stay with this kind of job; some of my family friends told me that I will try to apply in a call centre industry, but I know myself that was my weakness. I cannot speak English fluently. I’m afraid to answer English questions because I know I will fail. But I told myself, Why not try? I will not lose anything anyways, so I tried to apply, and fortunately, I passed. In the first place, I feel depressed, anxious, and afraid, but thanks to God, he gave me another chance to make my future better. I stayed in the company for 3 years as customer service, technical support and sales support were I developed active listening skills, awknowledge the clients, symphatize and emphatize, accept responsibility and prepare to help. Those things that happened to me for 3 years, I’ve never ever seen myself working on that kind of job since I am not confident enough to face and to talk to higher-ranking people just like them. And I was decided to resign since the salary could not compensate for my daily needs, so I tried to apply for work-from-home jobs. I tried my luck, and fortunately, I was able to work from home in the insurance industry as a prequalified agent and do selling coverage for them.

Right now I am seeking another opportunity to help my family, who was there when I was nothing. And I could use all my knowledge, experiences, and skills for the new opportunity that waits for me.
