Christ May Catherine Dalida – Accounting, Real Estate

I am a graduate of BS Accounting Technology from the University of the East in Manila. After my graduation, I landed a job with Accenture, Inc. as a General Accounting Associate. Being hired in a big company with a big team, the processes were very segmented and specialized. I was mainly responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable reconciliations, email management, preparing financial reports, and maintaining client relationships. For me, the process was too specialized and too focused on just one area of accounting that I felt like I was no longer growing. Aside from that, I wanted to be with my son more especially in his growing years, so I decided to resign from my job in Accenture, Inc and pursue a career that lets me be with my son and doesn’t stop me from growing as a better person in my profession.

After 3 long months looking for opportunities, I finally got my first client – they were a real estate company based in United Kingdom. They had just started up so they wanted someone who could help them systemized. This was when my prayers for learning and experiencing more processes and areas has been finally answered. Being new to the Virtual Assistant industry, I had to double my effort in learning the new tools that was introduced to me. I was beyond excited and eager to learn, which also helped me absorb more information. The one thing that’s on my mind was I have to learn it so I could give my best in helping my client systemize. Although I was only employed part-time with them, it was through them that I was able to learn and develop to be a Virtual Assistant. I learned to be more independent, responsible, and flexible. I was an all-rounder so I handled administrative tasks, accounting and bookkeeping, graphic design for social media content and even web design. It was truly mind-blowing how I got to where and who I am now and I’ll be forever grateful to them for that.

I always look forward for new challenges and new opportunities to learn. And with that, I can’t wait to work with you, learn new things, and continue my VA journey with you!
