Maria Dejeaneth Bag-o – Bookkeeper/Budget Officer

Hello, I’m Maria Dejeaneth M. Bag-O, but you can call me Maria. I am a proud single mother to a wonderful daughter, which fuels my dedication and drive in both my personal and professional life. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Financial Management from Ateneo de Cagayan University and a Bookkeeping NC III certification from Professional World Academy.

My professional journey began in 2015 at a government agency, where I worked until 2023. My role involved bookkeeping, managing financial transactions, budgeting, and generating detailed financial reports. This experience gave me a solid grounding in financial management and highlighted the importance of precision and detail in every task.

In 2022, I decided to enhance my skill set by learning QuickBooks, a widely used accounting software. I have been actively studying and exploring its features, which has greatly improved my efficiency in managing financial records and streamlining accounting processes. This new skill has been a valuable addition to my professional toolkit.

Transitioning to remote work has been a positive and rewarding experience for me. It offers the flexibility to balance my professional duties with my family responsibilities, allowing me to stay productive at work while being present for my daughter. This balance is crucial for me, and remote work has made it possible to manage both aspects effectively.

Outside of my professional life, I have several hobbies that I am passionate about. I love cooking, which is a creative and relaxing outlet for me. I am currently enrolled in a baking class to further develop my skills in this area. Baking has become a new and exciting challenge, and I’m looking forward to learning more and creating delicious treats.

In addition to cooking, I enjoy reading books for relaxation and intellectual stimulation. Playing badminton keeps me active and energised, while movie marathons are my way of unwinding and enjoying quality downtime. These activities bring me joy and help me maintain a balanced and fulfilling life.

I am eager to continue growing in my career and exploring new opportunities. I am committed to applying my skills and knowledge to new challenges while maintaining a healthy balance between my professional and personal life.
