Mary Palarca – Customer Service Representative, ESL

I decided to start with a fun fact about me. I tend to be over positive about my goals. One of a few examples: I’ve been dreaming of buying a brand-new car. I don’t have a car yet and I am not sure if I can really afford it, but I already bought a waterproof high-quality car cover. My family and friends were laughing about it because I bought a car cover without having a car. But because I am positive, I know that someday that car cover that I bought will be protecting my future car. Same goes when I was trying to apply to travel abroad. I wasn’t sure if I could get a visa, but I already bought a luggage bag and winter sweaters/attire. What am I trying to say here? When I have goals, I am always positive about achieving them as long as I am passionate and persistent about them.

I am also an artist. I am a canvas painter. So, if you want to request some paintings and other artwork you can also call me. =) My ultimate idol is Leonardo da Vinci. When I got pregnant, I was planning to name my baby after him if it was a baby boy, but she turned out to be a baby girl. I asked my husband if we can name her Leonarda da Vinci but unfortunately, he didn’t agree. I accepted it because he gave our daughter a beautiful name, which is Atarah.

People around me describe me as a funny person. I can’t blame them because that’s what I want, to make people laugh and be happy.

Now let’s proceed with my working experience.

I would say that the most valuable thing for me is integrity and I apply it both in my personal and career life. I am very independent and reliable. I’ve been always determined, passionate and resilient. I’ve been working for 11 years. I had a working experience as a customer care specialist, outbound and inbound sales agent, appointment setter and as an ESL teacher. I have advanced skills in customer satisfaction and sales.

Throughout my career, I have remained successful by making great decisions based on the need of my employer. It has been my nature to come up with creative solutions to the toughest problems.
