Airam Maurice Malana – Executive Assistant
From the moment I entered the workforce, I’ve always been drawn to roles that require organization, efficiency, and problem-solving. My journey started in customer service, where I honed my communication skills, learned to handle inquiries effectively, and developed the ability to multitask under pressure. Assisting customers with billing concerns, troubleshooting issues, and tracking orders gave me a deep understanding of how to provide exceptional service while maintaining professionalism.
As I progressed in my career, I transitioned into administrative roles that allowed me to expand my skill set. Working as an Admin Operator at StarMaker Global, I handled user account management, payment processing, and event promotions. This role introduced me to tools like Canva for graphic design and Zimbra for email management. I enjoyed the dynamic nature of the role, where I had to balance data management with creative tasks.
My interest in writing led me to work as a Copywriter for Storm Media Limited. Creating engaging product descriptions and researching market trends allowed me to develop strong research and content creation skills. It also taught me the importance of adaptability—knowing how to tailor content to different audiences while maintaining brand consistency.
One of the most significant milestones in my career was working as a Recruiter and HR Assistant for Keynote Business Solutions. I conducted applicant screenings, managed hiring processes, and coordinated interviews here. This experience deepened my understanding of recruitment, time management, and interpersonal communication. Working closely with hiring managers and applicants gave me insight into what makes a team successful and how to identify talent for a company’s needs.
Most recently, I worked as a Billing Assistant at VA Elites, where I handled invoicing and data verification using platforms like HHAExchange and AxisCare. This role reinforced my attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive financial information.
Throughout my journey, I have worked with various tools, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Gusto, Zoho, Trello, and Rallio, among others. My experience spans different industries—from telecommunications and e-commerce to cybersecurity and finance—allowing me to adapt quickly to different work environments.
What truly excites me about being a Virtual Assistant is the opportunity to support businesses by streamlining operations, improving efficiency, and taking on tasks that allow entrepreneurs to focus on growth. My strengths in organization, communication, and problem-solving make me a reliable and proactive team member. I thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy learning new tools and processes, and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
Looking ahead, I hope to continue growing in the virtual assistance industry, helping businesses succeed while continuously developing my skills. My journey has been shaped by dedication, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence—qualities that I bring to every role I take on.
