Amy Rose Posadas – Licensed Pharmacist, Virtual Assistant

Hi! My name is Amy Rose Posadas, but you can call me Amy. I am a licensed pharmacist and an entrepreneur with my own novelty shop.

I am the youngest of four siblings—all of whom pursued careers in healthcare. Following in their footsteps, I dedicated eight years of my life working tirelessly in hospitals, community pharmacies, and rural health settings. I was deeply fulfilled in my profession, especially when I served as a public health pharmacist. However, due to budget constraints, my time in public service was cut short.

Transitioning to the virtual assistance field was not an easy decision. It was unfamiliar territory, and I was hesitant to take the leap. But in 2021, as the world adjusted to the post-pandemic landscape, I finally found the courage to train and apply as a healthcare virtual assistant. To my surprise, I fell in love with the work. It was not just about the work location transition—I had to adjust my body clock, my mental strength and work preferences to thrive in a graveyard shift. But despite the challenges, I embraced and enjoyed every moment of it.

My first client was a provider who ran an ABA therapy, speech therapy, and mental health counselling clinic. There, I was extensively trained in administrative tasks and, more importantly, in communicating with parents to support their children’s needs. After a year, I transitioned to working with a sleep medicine specialist, where I dealt with patient data, medical reports, and patient education. These experiences exposed me to diverse cultural backgrounds and strengthened my empathy, adaptability, and commitment to providing holistic quality service.

At the peak of my career, I faced an unexpected setback—a health condition that forced me to sacrifice the career that I learned to love. It was a difficult time, but instead of letting it define me, I used it as an opportunity to grow. While recuperating, I learned the ropes of my mother’s real estate business, ventured into e-commerce by launching my own novelty shop, and even took up Spanish and French to expand my capabilities. I was determined that when the time came to return to work, I would be stronger and better than before.

Through all these experiences, I have learned the true value of time, effort, resilience, and dedication. No matter where life takes me, I carry these lessons forward, always striving to improve, serve, and make a difference.
