Andy Surigao – Architect

andy-surigao-vaHi, I’m Andy Surigao. You can call me Andy.

I am registered and licensed Architect with profound experience in Architectural and Engineering Designs, Project Management, and General Construction.

I graduated from Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) and passed licensure exams provided by the Professional Regulations Commission-Philippines in January 2011.

I formerly worked as a Site Supervisor, Project Architect and Field Architect for various notable companies in the Philippines. My scope of work is more on construction project management works which include plan review and evaluation, preparing bid documents, project monitoring and on-site inspections. I handled various residential and commercial projects. I was a part of a project management team that manages high rise buildings such as condominium units and a branded hotel.

In the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) – U.S.A. based Companies, I had an experience working as an Assistant Online Project Manager and Architectural Draughtsman. My scope of work is more on providing assistance to Local Project Managers, helping them to do plan reviews and provide recommendations. My work also includes online government permit applications and help monitoring their status or updates. I also used to set online appointment with clients on behalf of our Managers. As a draughtsman, my work scopes were to edit, revise and create working drawings based on the approved design. These projects were mostly hotels and inns.

andy-surigao-vaIn 2015, I decided to enter a partnership with my colleagues and worked there as a design and build consultant. I created designs, specify and recommend construction materials, manage and inspect construction sites, provide project costing, project schedules and monitoring, and prepare bid documents for private and government projects. I used to train and teach my own apprentices and let them help me to complete all the tasks for our various residential, commercial and institutional projects. Due to COVID 19 Pandemic, having on site projects became exhausting to acquire and implement, and forced me to look for other options to earn. Earning and working from home has always been my best option especially during this pandemic era.

Working with various companies all through these years equipped and honed my skills not only as an Architect but also as a person. I was born differently abled, but my dreams and goals in life are stronger than my physical defect, so I am what I am right now. I am always grateful to people, especially to my employers, for always having faith and trust, in me and to what I can offer for their companies.

In my free time, I love swimming and going to the beach. I also like to hang-out and have sensible discussions with people I get along with. I love to travel anywhere in the Philippines, if time and budget permits me to do so.

I am a hardworking person, easy to work with and reliable. I always work and complete any tasks given with quality and efficiency. I hope you may consider and have me on your team.
