Angelica Bernadette Andres – Healthcare Virtual Assistant

Hi there! I’m Angelica Bernadette Andres, but please, call me Angel. I’m a certified healthcare virtual assistant, a registered nurse, a mother, and a volunteer Sunday school teacher.

My journey in healthcare began when I pursued my bachelor’s degree in nursing at Pines City Colleges in Baguio City. Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working in various nursing roles that have shaped me both personally and professionally. From serving in a community hospital where I cared for patients across different areas like the emergency room, outpatient department, and wards, to becoming a school nurse, tending to the health needs of school-aged children, each experience has been enriching in its own way. Additionally, my time as an occupational healthcare nurse practitioner for hotels and BPO companies provided me with valuable insights into the administrative side of nursing, enhancing my management, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Two years ago, I made the transition to working as a healthcare virtual assistant, primarily serving clients based in the US. This shift was motivated by my strong desire to be present for my family as they grow, and thanks to their unwavering support, I’ve been able to successfully juggle the responsibilities of both work and home life. Investing in a fully equipped home office has been instrumental in ensuring a seamless work-from-home experience, underscoring the importance of prioritising such resources for virtual assistants.

Working remotely offers numerous advantages, including the promotion of work-life balance and fostering a sense of independence and reliability. While it comes with its own set of challenges, such as meeting client expectations despite the limitations of the setup, overcoming these obstacles brings a profound sense of fulfilment.

Looking ahead, my goal is to expand my clientele beyond the US, seeking opportunities to engage with clients from different countries. This not only promises to enrich my multicultural experience and interactions but also presents avenues for further professional growth. As a seasoned virtual assistant, I am committed to delivering quality service consistently and exceeding expectations to produce excellent results.

My journey from nursing to virtual assistance has been driven by a desire for personal and professional fulfilment, with each experience contributing to my growth and development. I look forward to embracing new challenges and opportunities as I continue to pursue excellence in my career.
