Dagmawit Berhanu – Administrative Assistant

dagmawit-berhanu-vaSelam means greetings in Amharic (Ethiopian’s National Language). My name is Dagmawit, I prefer to be called Dag and I am from the 13 month of sunshine, Ethiopia.

To say a little bit about myself, I was born and raised in the beautiful city, Addis Ababa. Addis Ababa is the capital city of Ethiopia and is the hub for our continent Africa. Ethiopia is the only country that has never been colonized and a country to hold the Ark of the Covenant.

I have Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management and Masters in Business Administration. Right after I graduated with BA, I stared working as head international marketing correspondent at import and export company. Mostly, my job was emailing suppliers for price quotation and make a purchase of a product for import and distribute it to the local market. At the same time, I was responsible for searching possible new suppliers and new products to be included in the company portfolio. My job also includes administrative works such as writing different letters, emails, making appointments, arranging meetings, logistics, workshops, events, conduct a meeting with suppliers and clients.

dagmawit-berhanu-vaAfter working in Marketing position for 4 years, my role as Administrative Assistant started to blossom and ever since, I have joined different international organizations (Non-governmental organizations) and worked as a Front Desk officer, Executive Secretary and currently, I am working as Senior Executive Assistant at Australian based international organization. All in all, I have more than 7 years of experience in Administration works and I love every second of my day. All these work experiences are my asset to becoming a good Virtual Assistant. I am always improving myself by taking short term trainings and online courses.

I am patient, calm, reliable, organized, team player, dedicated to any given role believe in working with people coming with different background and a God-fearing person. I am fluent in the English communication, have good knowledge of Microsoft office tools including outlook express, google calendar, Zoom, proficient in typing and product searching.
