Eliza Hinay – Administrative Assistant, Writer

eliza-jean-hanay-vaHello! I’m Eliza but you can call me Liz.

Here’s a bit of my story.

I took Computer Science as a chosen degree in college but wasn’t able to finish it primarily because I found myself just going with the flow and not doing the things I truly like. I’ve always wanted to study Psychology but ended up in a state of confusion. I took up CompSci because of the high demand in the corporate world it offers. I made a bad decision, but I learned a lot from it. I learned to be more empathic, be more kind to people, and take judgment and decision-making more seriously because based on my experience, most people are in a situation executing things they don’t love doing but doing it anyway just to live. So I started volunteering, “Holding your hand while helping you rise” has been my motto. I just love assisting other people with my services and resources, I truly exert effort just to put you at ease.

A quick flashback to my high school days, I was part of the journalism club in our school and it taught me how to communicate well. In college, I was upskilled in writing, proofreading, and editing articles. I’ve been part of the editorial staff in our school paper and got the privilege to be an assistant to the dean of our department from time to time. In my first year, I accepted my first paid project as a ghostwriter for a student’s thesis and since then I have written several thesis and dissertations both for university and master’s students. The experience brought me into a high standard of research, data analysis, and a keen eye for details.

I also worked in a BPO company for half a year and I’m thankful I did because I obtained more competence in written and verbal communication skills with comprehension. But, I believe that learning never ends.

eliza-jean-hanay-vaLast year, I got into training for General Virtual Assistance with one of the most effective coaches in freelancing here in the Philippines and acquired skills that I can provide you such as:

  • Diary/Calendar Management (scheduling of appointments)
  • Email management
  • Document Management and Organisation
  • Transcription
  • Data entry
  • Basic Social Media Management
  • Research
  • Writing

I can also offer a bit of graphic design using Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign because I’ve been practicing all these as a pastime. I can do multi-tasking assuring you of still delivering exceptional results.

Aside from volunteering, I also love taking photographs. It makes me see the beauty in everything despite chaotic circumstances. I read a lot and watch YouTube tutorials. I play instruments and write songs in my free time. Yes, I will be happy to play instruments and write songs for you too!

Thank you so much for taking some time to know me better and I look forward to working with you and helping you!
