Ivy Sucgang – Customer Service, Escalation Lead

My name is Ivy De Leon Sucgang, and I reside in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines. I’m 33 years old and a single mom of two loving kids. My eldest is thirteen and my youngest is twelve years old. Being a working mom, I am dedicated to my job and my craft to ensure that I can provide for my family’s food, shelter, good education but most especially time.

My commitment to my work reflects in the quality I deliver for the company. I value every company I work for not only because it serves as a primary source of support for the family but this is where I can show my passion for my craft.

I began my journey in the BPO industry in 2015, starting as customer service. At that time I was very happy to receive my first job offer in a BPO company after a long wait and multiple applications that I got declined. I had almost lost hope of finding a job for me, especially since I didn’t have a degree to pursue other opportunities. However, I always believed that if you have a goal, you need to do something to achieve it. During that time, I even took up call centre training for six months to learn more about the industry. I am truly grateful for the presence of BPO companies in the Philippines, and now with the virtual assistant roles, I can work comfortably from home. As a single mom, this arrangement allows me to take care of my children without the hassle of commuting to work not to mention the good compensation and benefits.

Throughout my nearly eight years in the BPO industry, I have learned multiple skills such as composing professional emails, effectively conversing with customers, and handling irate customers to ensure they feel heard. Completing multiple tasks on time this has helped me become a reliable asset to the company. I believe these experiences have a big aspect in my growth in the industry, and I am eager to continue applying these skills in my future endeavours. If given the opportunity to join this company, I will demonstrate all my skills and the knowledge I have gained over the years. I will remain open to personal improvement to ensure that I stay aligned with my continuous learning.

I sincerely hope to be part of the team, thank you so much for this opportunity.
