Janice Wong – Bookkeeping and Administrative Support

I am a methodical bookkeeper with 11 years of extensive experience in processing financial transactions including preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, statement of cash flow, performing bank reconciliations, government taxes, payroll generation, and other related financial statements. I am an expert in preparing real estate mortgage documents, and mortgage computations. I am also skilled in operating accounting software such as Quickbooks, Xero, and ZOHO, calculating tax payments, verifying invoices, receipts and balance sheets.

I have a very good background in real estate where I handled the preparation of the lease agreement and obtained signatures via the right signature. I managed and scheduled property showings and initiated listing system for follow up leads and other administrative tasks such as transcription of the voicemail, research on current rental rates, and filing of documents via cloud-based database. I coordinated property repair with tenants and contractors, helping them solve the problem and seeing to it that everything was under control and repaired. I was also in charge of the real estate research collecting average monthly rent for each property. I prepared statements of pay off demand for each loan and obtained signatures of the President electronically. I handled the collection notice, payment reminders of borrowers who have lapsed payments through email.

I’ve been married for 7 years and have been blessed with two wonderful kids. One is a girl and the other one is a boy; both are in school. The reason why I’ve decided to resign from my land-based job is because I wanted to see them growing and not juggle the day to day rush. And since I do have the skills and extensive experience, I’ve decided to find a job remotely.

It was indeed difficult at first because I needed to work graveyard shift but eventually, I was able to cope with it. No more rush hour, no more headaches on what to wear and no more sudden increase in my fuel consumption monthly. When I started working from home I had more time to mingle with and control my children. Working from home also gave me the avenue to more learning as it is very different from the corporate world. I was able to learn accounting software that most of the companies are engaged with.
