Ma Jazmin Abtina – Administrative Assistant

ma-jazmin-abtina-vaI am Ma Jazmin Reginaldo Abtina but you can call me Jaz. I am a mother of a 2-year old boy and a solo parent. Life may not be fair sometimes but this allows us to step up so we can cope with things and become strong.

I am a graduate of BS Psychology and undergraduate of BS Nursing as my second course. I attended different training sessions to enhance my skills in the fields that I am into. I earned my Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification when I was in the BPO industry, which is I believe I can apply in my tasks or projects.

About my experiences and my previous roles with different companies, I started as a Human Resource Clerk to the company where I rendered my on-the-job training and was eventually assigned to different work positions like Administrative Assistant after I graduated from college. I then joined different companies as HR Officer and Supervisor. However, opportunities came along that changed my career path and I joined the booming industry in BPO and started as Customer Service Representative and eventually climbed the ladder as Case Resolutions Specialist and Program Coordinator to rise to the HR Analyst position.

Striving for many challenging opportunities I joined a different company and eventually got the position of Human Resource Head. As an HR Head and practitioner, I was responsible for providing employees with information about their benefits. I am knowledgeable about recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations and learning and development. I was also responsible for analysing data, clarifying issues between ma-jazmin-abtina-funmanagers and employees, complying with EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) policies, and keeping a seal of confidentiality. I prided myself in providing excellent customer service to managers and employees. I became efficient at prioritising tasks and knowing when to escalate issues.

Another opportunity came and this time it was starting our own business with my friends and working as Operations Manager of our business. Of course, managing our own business has also challenges and we decided to close it down to avoid more losses. Now, even though we are in a pandemic situation we should not stop looking for other opportunities to grow and make a living for our family. I am in the BPO industry again to start a new phase of my career and I am looking forward to the booming and challenging opportunity in the Virtual world as I prefer working from home so I can look after my son while he is growing up and still have the perks of earning.

I am a fast learner and can work independently. I have strong analytical skills and patience in doing my task and delivering it to my clients. I always see to it that I finish my work on time because time is precious for me, just like my clients. And I believe that respecting everyone’s time is a win-win opportunity to be more productive and help each other succeed with their own craft.
