Michelle Mitchell – Customer Support Agent
Hi! My name is Michelle Mitchell. You can call me Chelle or Mitch.
Since I was a kid, I have always known that customer service was my calling. Back in the 90s, I was my relatives’ go to person to make collect calls to their families in the US. The first time I made a call and heard this beautiful voice on the other end, I knew that it was what I wanted to do in the future. Fast forward to 2005, I received a work scholarship from a University and became their first telephone operator for four years until I graduated.
I loved my telephone operator job, and so after I graduated, I decided to continue with that career path. I entered the BPO industry and became a customer service representative. My typical day at work included answering chats, emails, product demo and/or troubleshoot through remote access, and research our customers’ inquiries.
I learned a lot of things in the process. I learned how to multitask, to be resourceful, to work autonomously, and because I had access to chat and email history, I learned to debrief on my interaction with customers to see how I could do better.
I focused on my family life for a while and once things had settled down, I joined the home-based workforce. I worked as a chat and community administrator on Telegram for a cryptocurrency company and did a little bit of cryptocurrency trading on the side as well.
At the moment, I am learning how to become a Youtube vlogger and fly my drone whenever the weather permits.
