Myca Naong – Virtual Assistant

Hi. I am Myca Naong. I am from one of the islands composing the Philippine archipelago, Mindanao. I am the eldest of 2 siblings and was raised by a single parent, my grandmother, and by my grandfather. I haven’t known my father ever since I was born because he left us for another woman. I’m 22 years old right now. I recently graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Tourism Management, an achievement I am proud of, not only for myself but also for my family who supported me. My time in college taught me a lot about hard work, perseverance, time management, and dedication. But more than that, it ignited my passion for connecting with people, learning about different cultures, trying different cuisines, and exploring new experiences which is the reason why I took up this course.

I’m a multi-passionate individual, proactive, a dreamer, and a goal-oriented person and I also have the attitude of willingness to learn. I’m open-minded as well and willing to try new things that will benefit me and help me grow personally and professionally. I’m an introverted person but when I’m around my friends, it is when I feel lively. I’m a bit adventurous. I’m also a sentimental person and value things, people, and memories.

During my free time, I like to read books and watch movies. I also love listening to podcasts about business, mental health, and self-development topics.

I want to work as a virtual assistant because it’s my way of fulfilling my passion for helping others, in this case, business owners and entrepreneurs. I want to be part of something great and I think being a virtual assistant would help me fulfill it. Before graduating, I already knew in my heart that I wanted to work as a virtual assistant and work from home because aside from providing the benefit of not commuting to work and spending long hours in traffic, I will also be able to stay and live with my grandmother who is now 70 years old. I want to take good care of her like what she did to me when I was little – giving me the best of both worlds—career growth and family time.

I aim to grow further with a career as a virtual assistant and learn more skills and knowledge along the way to better myself and apply them to both my work and life.
