Ana Lacanaria – Administrative Assistant

My Goals

My goals and intention is to support you and contribute success to your business or organization through fulfilling my duties and responsibilities. I anticipate learning more as I grow with you, professionally. My name is Ana Clarisa but I prefer to be called Anya. I am proud to always share and mention that I am a survivor of the Super Typhoon Haiyan, which hit the Philippines last November 2013. This, personally led me and motivated me to always be at my best because this life is a gift and so precious as a gem, intended to be shared through service to our families and others.

I started to practice my skills in clerical and administrative expertise back when I was still in high school. I became the campus president, thus leaving me with the responsibility to exercise leadership and managerial skills among the organization. Moving forward, these skills were honed through time, and led me to become the secretary of the student government of the university in college. At the same time, I also served the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs to provide myself student allowance. After graduating, I took short courses to revamp my verbal and written business communication skills.

After taking up the short course, I applied for an associate position in our local cooperative bank and got employed on a contractual basis. Here, I accommodated and facilitated enrollment for new member’s accounts, gathered them and initiated an orientation of their membership. On the side, I’ve also learned to organize my first ever general assembly inviting thousands of members from municipal or nearby town branches. Time came and I ended my contract and haven’t renewed. I volunteered for some time and brought me to work for a business consultancy company as a sales and marketing executive, carrying out my skills on business development and after a year became a licensed financial advisor where I am highlighting my savvy lead generation skills.

ana-lacanaria-vaPre-pandemic, I was already introduced to the Virtual Assistance industry. I just love how I pivot to Digital or Remote work back in 2018. I started by co-hosting the Connected Women organization and what we usually do is empower and encourage women to also pivot and integrate their businesses in the digital era. Had we also known that today, evident in our reality, almost everyone is working at home. Circling back to my work experiences, I am so pumped to have this opportunity to work with you, for your organization or company. I always look forward to engaging in self and professional development where I contribute positively and proactively in all of the tasks given to me.

Currently I am studying more and involving myself in Social Media Management aside from Office/Administrative positions that I’ve been to. I have also opened to optimize my skills on research and data, as well as graphic designing. I am a person who is always eager to learn and be a sponge absorbing and in return sharing what I have learned.

In my spare time, I spend time with my family playing board games and also love writing, reading, and creating soil paintings. I am the eldest among my two siblings. Here, you’ll notice I am family-oriented and I sacrifice to provide for my family’s welfare (culture of Filipinos to help and be there for their families no matter what). I hope you’ve had a great time reading my personal journey. I look forward to hearing from you.
