Christian Torda Santos – Customer Service Representative
My name is Christian but I preferred to be called by my nickname ‘Ian’, as I want people to be comfortable communicating with me.
Why did I say that? I have a very strong personality and sometimes, people find me intimidating. Maybe its because of the strong facial features that I have.
I am a father of 3. I have 2 sons and a daughter, and I’m very proud of my kids and my wife because they always make me feel that I am loved. And for some people, it’s not everyday they make us feel that way.
I am a Customer Support Specialist, via phone or email handling and I have been working in the BPO industry for about 6 years now. I have encountered different types of people and customers, different nationalities, and different attitudes. What I learned the most with this type of job is that you always have to be open minded for changes. You do not treat it just as a job; you have to embrace it. You have to apply yourself everyday to a different situation, because not all the people you will communicate with have the same issues and circumstances. I have learned that you have to communicate from your heart and always think how these people feel when they are talking to you. They badly needed us. They needed someone who would understand them and help them in any way we could.
I may say that this job is not as easy as 1, 2 ,3. Being a Customer Service Specialist may actually be one of toughest jobs ever. But I have learned that we should not let those emotions affect our jobs. We need to make sure that we will end the day the same as how we started it. And that is with a HEART FULL OF SMILES AND HAPPINESS.
Throughout the years of my service, I may not seem to be the perfect person that may fit the job, but I always tell myself that I can do anything because I have to learn everything. The flaws that I have and worked to make better have molded me to be the person that I am today. And I am proud to say that I am better than ever!
I always tell myself: As I move forward from every downfall, I have to rise and be stronger than ever… and always give my very best.
If given the chance to work with your company, I’ll make sure you will never regret it.
Cheers! Christian / Ian 🙂
